Saree has gained a lot of attention all around the world. It is not just a long piece of garment. It’s an attire that blends with our rich Indian culture. So a saree comes in a wide variety of fabrics & colors, but I always adore and love traditional silk sarees. A silk saree consists of mainly golden or silver threads for borders & pallus, but many variations are now available in silk sarees. So when choosing a silk saree, I always opt for a lightweight one that is easy to drape & suits the occasion & your personality.
Always make sure the blouse that matches the saree is well-fitted .you can consider adding extra embellishments & elements to the blouse for a more rich look. Also, make sure the petticoat/underskirt for the saree matches with the color of your saree & it shouldn’t be a flared underskirt. I prefer traditional temple designs or antique pieces when choosing jewelry for silk sarees, but you can also add Kundan or pearl statement pieces.
So here I have styled a banarasi silk saree that is the perfect attire for a wedding. This banarasi silk saree matches my style & personality, plus I love purple. Also, it doesn’t have the usual golden pallu. Instead, this saree has all-over silver peacock designs & the pallu is so beautiful with silver threads. I team it up with an elegant temple design antique necklace set with matching earrings & bangles.
