One Blazer in 3 ways

A well-fitted blazer is one of the staples in any girl’s wardrobe. Blazers are the best accessory to any outfit for a classy, versatile look. Generally, it is considered professional workwear, but it’s an excellent choice for a night party or as a casual lunch outfit. Blazers are for people who want to look modern, stylish, and, at the same time, keep you warm during those colder months. It is mainly used for layering a dress or a tee, so always consider the weather before putting together an outfit with any blazer. For example, you can pair a blazer with a basic white tee and a pair of relaxed jeans on hot sunny days and go with turtle neck tees or dresses on colder days. Finally, pair it up with your favorite pumps or boots to complete the look.

Blazers come in different patterns, fittings, and colors. Choose your blazer based on your style and comfort. The first thing that comes into my mind when talking about a blazer is its fitting. I’m not a fan of oversized blazers. I like something that is tailored and well fitted. Next, choose a color that complements your bottom and accessories. You can always opt for a beige open-front blazer for a classy look, or if you are someone who always loves to bring some pop of color like me, go with a red straight cut blazer instead.

Here I created three looks with a red straight cut blazer.

1. red blazer and baggy pants

The first look is a pure example of putting together a casual blazer outfit. Baggy pants, also known as slouchy pants, are the most comfortable pieces of denim I have ever worn. These high-waisted pants go well with a denim jacket or a blazer. If you don’t like this kind of denim, opt for a boyfriend or distressed instead. This look is great for any occasion, from a casual outing to a dinner date night.

Gold chunky chains are trendy and stylish, so I teamed them up with my chunky gold chain and gold earrings and finished the look with silver pumps. I let my hair open in this look as I’m not into ponytails lately but for a more chic look, go with a relaxed tidy pulled-back ponytail with this look.

2. red blazer and a mini pleated skirt

Looking for some cool outfit ideas for the initial days of fall/spring weather, then you are on the right page. Some people don’t like to layer a lot but want to feel warm and stylish; I got you covered. So the best option for that is to add a blazer to your tees, sweaters, and dresses. You can try many combos with a blazer to prepare for those cold-weather days. One of my favorite combos is a blazer with a mini skirt. Then, wear cool and sexy black stockings underneath the dress for extra warmth. Finally, finish it off with ankle boots.

3. Blazer and white tee

Let’s create a dressy and more feminine look with a blazer. Leather pants are one piece of bottoms that never go out of style. Nothing looks cooler when we mix different fabrics and textures to put an outfit together, such as leather pants and a blazer.

Here I styled my red blazer with a button-down white tee & to balance the color; I paired it with dark pair of bottoms. I completed the look with a couple of silver pumps and gold jewelry.

Budget friendly lehenga

Hello gorgeous readers, If you are someone like me who doesn’t want to buy those high-end designer expensive clothes but loved the idea of dressing up in a stylish and classic outfit, this post is for you. When it’s time to finalize an attire for an event, I always prefer a tailored, not-so-heavy lehenga because it blends with my style and body type.

 It’s a three-piece Indian traditional outfit consisting of a blouse with (embroidery and embellishment detail), a flared skirt, and a dupatta. It’s a  perfect choice for a wedding or festive wear. Also, it’s an outfit that can be mixed and matched in many ways. I like the idea of giving your set of an old lehenga a new and fresh look by pairing them with a contrasting dupatta. You can wear your neutral-colored lehengas and pair them with different blouses and dupattas.

Here I’m sharing a pretty lehenga outfit for an Indian evening party or a budget-friendly wedding guest outfit.

This  Embroidered green lehenga is my absolute favorite because it fitted me perfectly and was also within my budget. So I have paired this lehenga with three beautiful dupattas. As I mentioned earlier, there are a million ways you can give any lehenga a fresh and new touch every time you wear it. It’s all about mixing and matching colors. 

For this orange banarasi dupatta look, I paired it with a dual-tone oxidized necklace set and matching earrings. In addition, I added an extra embellished waistband to elevate the waistline and give it a shape. 

 

There are endless options to style a lehenga, .so here, I have styled the same lehenga more effortlessly and straightforwardly. As the lehenga blouse is heavily embroidered, I teamed it up with a sheer meshed dupatta to make it look simple and stunning. Nothing can beat the beauty and radiance of Kundan Jewelry, so I paired it with a set of Kundan chokers, matching earrings & a Kundan beaded ring.

I styled this green embroidered lehenga with a mustard yellow color banarasi dupatta as green & yellow are everyone’s favorite combo. I draped the dupatta all around my shoulder to highlight the dupatta itself by keeping the whole look minimal yet elegant. Also paired it with a beautiful pearl choker necklace & matching oversized stud earrings.

Coral/peach Makeup

When it comes to makeup, I prefer some pop of color on my lips & cheeks. Peach/coral tones are pleasant & fresh shades that can easily blend with your makeup. Glam up your spring/summer days with these beautiful coral shades of lipsticks, eyeshadows & blushes. So when choosing the texture for lipstick, I always prefer glossy ones for that perfect spring day. Here for this dewy coral makeup look, I have used the shade velvet teddy from mac which is a brown coral shade & for that glossy texture, I added a coat of my favorite Dior lip gloss. Of course, you can always go for a liquid one for that dewy look when it comes to blushes. But here, I have used a coral-colored powder blush from Anastasia Beverly hills.

So when talking about eye makeup, nothing can beat the beauty of a winged liner. So a dark deep-colored liner with a peachy gradient eyeshadow is a perfect duo for this coral/peachy makeup look.

3 WAYS TO WEAR A TULLE SKIRT

If you are looking for a more feminine & instantly flattering look, a tulle skirt is your best option. The tulle skirt is made of sheer meshed fabric . It can be paired with a  fitted crop top or you can go for a more chic look by layering it with a denim jacket as well. I love wearing a tulle skirt as it’s cute, perfect for any occasion, and can be worn in many different ways.

I have created three different looks using one tulle skirt. I often try these three simple, classy looks with tulle skirts. There are countless options out there that you can experiment with. It goes well with a lace crop top or a plain satin white shirt also. You can style your favorite cute tulle skirt in all kinds of weather, irrespective of the occasion & feel like a princess!!!

The key to styling a  tulle skirt is to always pair it up with something tight and fitted. Here is my first look; I am wearing a midi-length tulle skirt with a basic white t-shirt. A perfect knot on the sides or in the middle gives it a different shape and glamour. Avoid wearing oversized and too-long t-shirts with a skirt. Instead, I paired it with simple white sneakers for a more casual look. For a more dressy look, go with ankle strap heels or any heels of your choice.

2. cropped top

Anything high-waisted with a crop top looks fashionable and chic. Regardless of its length(maxi, midi, mini), a tulle skirt looks stylish when paired with a well-fitted crop top. Of course, to give your waistline that extra definition, you can always opt for a neutral or a colored waist belt.

Here in this look, I styled it with a cute red polka-dotted crop top. For a more casual look, I teamed it up with my metallic dressy flats, or you can always go with a nice pair of heels to give it a formal look.

Embroidered Net Saree

Every Indian traditional outfit indeed has its beauty and elegance. I know many Indian women prefer wearing a saree over any other outfit. I was not a big fan of wearing a saree, but until recently, when I started shopping for my blog, that’s when I realized my love for this timeless classic outfit. For me, a saree is all about selecting the suitable fabric and choosing a color that matches your skin tone. As mentioned in my previous posts, I love pastel colors and sheer net embroidered fabrics, so this silver net saree is a recent addition to my Indian ethnic wear.

So I paired this beautiful net silver saree with a matching blouse with a bit of detailing on the back. Oxidized jewelry goes well with this saree. So I matched it with a pair of oxidized silver bangles and earrings.

I always love when comfort and style blend in one outfit. Palazzo pants, also called wide-leg pants, are the most flattering and comfortable outfit for any body type. The key to styling any wide-leg pants and balancing the whole outfit is to pair them up with slim-fit tops, cropped or structured ones.

Here are five stylish looks you can create using a palazzo.

The third look is these beautiful pastel green belted palazzo pants with a hot pink organza sleeve top. I’m all about mixing different shades of not-neutral colors. Pink with pastel green is a beautiful combination, so I tied to bring a little pop of color to this outfit.

If you are searching for relaxed attire for a casual outing or stroll around the park, this is an excellent choice. Regardless of the color & sleeve, a mock neck top looks feminine yet edgy when team it up with loose wide-leg pants. However, the key to selecting a mock neck top is its fitting. If it’s a bit slouchy or baggy, it may ruin your whole look.so always go for a nice fitted mock neck top. For the shoes, you can go with ankle strap heels for a polished look or a nice pair of comfortable sneakers for a more easy & casual look. 

So talking about accessories, I kept it very minimal for this look. I teamed it up with gold-tone hoop earrings & my fav wristwatch (this watch is the first thing I purchased when I moved to the US).

5. cardigan & palazzo

so whenever I do styling, I always go for either a fitted top and loose slouchy bottoms or reverse. But when I teamed it up with an oversized buttoned cardigan & wide-leg pants, I fell in love with this look as soon as I saw it. This button-front cardigan is a recent addition to my winter wardrobe, which is super comfy & chic. So to give it p more detailing a structure, I added a simple waist belt. You can add any belt for this look. So as I said, this outfit is a good choice for colder months to keep you warm & cozy yet stylish. Also, as the palazzo pants are so breezy, you can wear leggings inside them to make you all winter-ready. I team it up with a pair of white sneakers & for accessories; I paired it with a gold-tone chunky necklace & hoop earrings.

One organza saree three ways.

Organza is a lightweight, thin & silky fabric that looks fresh & gorgeous when worn correctly. My wardrobe predominantly consists of this sheer, lightweight material because it’s comfy & high fashion. From home decor to your clothes, organza fabric will give you a feminine vibe & makes you look stunning. Every saree that I own is lightweight because it’s easy to drape and perfectly matches my style. When team it up with the right shade of blouses, no outfits can beat the beauty & elegance of these gorgeous organza sarees.

So there are no specific rules on how to wear a  saree or what to wear it with a saree you can decide based on your comfort, style & occasion. There are so many remarkable ways you can try with a saree other than the old traditional way. For example, a denim jacket, when worn over a saree, looks fashionable and chic. Also, adding a sleek & thin stretch waist belt to a saree adds so much beauty to the outfit.

So here I have styled my lime green shade organza saree in three different ways.

1. Modern

saree is considered a traditional outfit, but like any attire, we can give it a modern touch by pairing it with the fitting blouse & accessorize. I have never thought about wearing a saree to a party or just for a family meeting up until I figured out there are many lightweight & comfortable options for sarees are available. For example, you can drape an organza saree into any style you desire. An organza saree, when team it up with a spaghetti strap blouse, looks modern & classy.

So in my first look is all about how to give an organza saree a modern touch by preserving the beauty & elegance. I paired this lime green organza saree with a white spaghetti strap blouse as the saree itself is so bright in person I opt to tone it down a little bit on the blouse. So for accessories, as always, I keep it so minimal; just a pearl necklace to enhance the neckline & a beautiful Swarovski bracelet to complement the chain are all I wore for this modern look. Finally, I completed this modern yet elegant look with a tight high ponytail.

2. Boho

Bohemian style is not always tassels & big colorful floral prints. A simple Indian saree can be draped & transformed into a boho style by adding certain boho elements. E.g., pairing up your favorite floral saree or any saree with a  high neck black blouse & adding oxidized silver jewelry is the best idea to create a bohemian vibe. So when choosing silver jewelry, always go for the chunkier statement pieces as it makes your look even more eye-catching.

So I created a boho look with the same organza saree and matched it with a black high neck blouse & for accessories, I go with a long statement neckpiece & matching bangles & rings. Also, if you are a jewelry lover, add more jewelry pieces for this look according to your style.

3.traditional

There are several ways you can drape and style a saree, but we all can agree that grace & elegance are at their best when styled traditionally with heavy blouses & jewelry. An organza saree is an excellent alternative for a heavy silk saree for a wedding party. You can opt for giving it a rich and high fashion look by adding a contrasting designer blouse & heavy Kundan jewelry sets.

SO this third look is an excellent option for getting ready for a special event like a wedding or any Indian festival.

Sometimes I love to add more color to my outfits, so I paired my lime green organza saree with a contrasting royal blue color mirror work blouse. So for accessories, I team it up with my favorite statement Kundan earrings and matching rings and bangles.

My Everyday Eye Makeup Products.

Good makeup and hair indeed enhance your overall look. Everybody has a particular makeup style, but all of us love to highlight eyes and lips. I’m not a makeup person and don’t have an extensive collection of makeup products like clothes, but the products I own are minimal and well-kept. So talking about makeup, the one trend I’m obsessed over is winged eyeliner. So for a perfectly defined winged liner, we need the right tools and products. Here I am going to share some of my tried and tested products for that perfect winged liner look & smokey eyes

1. Stila waterproof liner

Let’s talk about an eyeliner look that is so popular & super trendy at the same time, called a winged liner. This look can quickly sink with traditional as well as modern attires. So a few years back, I was looking for an excellent Gel liner for that perfect-looking winged eyes, and this Stila waterproof liner was one of the most reviewed gel liners online, so I decided to give it a try. I fell in love with this product after my first use itself. It gives you that perfect-looking winged liner that lasts a whole day, and it is also waterproof. It doesn’t smudge at all. Moreover, the tip of the applicator is thin so that we can draw the wing more quickly and smoothly. You can easily use it to outline your lid as well.

 

I didn’t mention the eyeshadow palette used in this look, but I will probably talk about it in another post.

2. Kat von D Anti-Precision Pencil Eyeliner for smokey eyes

I didn’t attempt to do smokey eyes ever because I always thought it was complicated eye makeup & only professionals can do it. But recently, for clicking some pictures for this post, I made all the effort to do a simple smokey eye look(thanks to some brilliant YouTubers who did it so perfectly).so  I  purchased this product called Kat von D Anti-Precision Pencil Eyeliner in the shade Trooper black from Ulta beauty. I was a little skeptical about it as there were no testers available at that time. However, when I tried it, I love it so far. It does the job without putting in so much effort.

As you can see, I have used it on my lid and also on my waterline. So whether you want it intense black color or just a pale shade of black, this liner is all you want for that purpose.

3. M·A·C Technakohl Eyeliner

A dark color pencil liner on the waterline brightens your eye and gives it more depth. Smudge it with fingers or using a brush is a great technique to make your eyes look bigger and beautiful. We all love to experiment with different colors & textures of liners. But I prefer using a pencil liner & used it to line the bottom line & then smudge it using an angled brush. Also, using a white liner is an excellent idea for those of you who have smaller eyes. I have tried many liners from different brands, and for the past three years, I got to stick with one product, i.e., M·A·C Technakohl Eyeliner. This liner is my everyday eye makeup essential which is easy to use and long-lasting.

4. Too faced better than sex mascara for dramatic lashes

I know mascara is a vast topic to discuss since it’s everyone’s favorite, including me. Defined eyebrows and dramatic lashes complement each other. I always think mascara has the magical power of making our eyes looks fuller & big-looking. It easily opens up our eyes and makes us look more attractive. We all love black and intense lashes, so we need good mascara to achieve that great eyes. I used to drench my lashes with lots of coats of mascaras until I feel satisfied. But later found out that the trick is not with the number of swipes; it’s all about the quality of the product and how well you are applying the strokes.

So here, I will share one of my favorite mascara (even though I have more than one favorite), which helps me enhance my eyes in the first swipe itself. It’s called too faced better than sex mascara. It’s a perfect mascara that will give you thicker, longer & the most dramatic lashes. It comes in a sexy pink package which is pretty easy to hold and work with it. The wand of this mascara is hourglass-shaped so that the product can reach up to every hair on your eyes and open it up. I usually use two coats of products for that long lashes & finish it off with a third coat of my urban decay perversion mascara for more intense and black lashes. And finally, if you want more depth to your eyes, use a good black eye pencil on the bottom line, smudge it a little bit & you are all set to step out.

kylie lipkit.

We all love & adore Kylie Jenner, the beauty divas style and fashion. Every fashionista looks forward to seeing her makeup and outfits. So when she started a makeup line called kylie cosmetics, I was super excited to try out her products like any other girl. The one thing I noticed was all of their products were not too expensive like other high-end products. Instead, they have a wide range of beauty products that are easily affordable to glam up your day. So if you are looking for luxury within a budget, kylie cosmetics is your best option. Also, it is cruelty-free & vegan.

So I got a few items from this line a year back which was on sale. I’m always obsessed with liquid lipstick. They do not need a touch-up for an extended period, so I got two shades of their lip kit. The kit consists of one liquid lipstick and matching lip liner to outline your lips.

The shade candy-k from kylie’s lip Kit collection is a muted pink color. This shade is a  matte finish liquid lipstick, but it does not dry out your lips like other matte lipsticks. Instead, it’s highly pigmented, and the packaging is unique & sexy. It’s my go-to lipstick shade for any casual outfit.

Here in these pictures below, I have used only candy-k lip pencil for this look. It is a universal muted pink shade which is also a darker shade of original candy-k lipstick.

 Liquid Lipstick-candy-k

This Lip Liner & Lipstick duo is an absolute shade for any day or nighttime event. It’s a  nude pinkish universal shade that matches any skin tone. I have seen photos of  Kylie Jenner, founder of kylie cosmetics flaunting in this gorgeous lip color multiple times. I love the texture of this liquid lipstick as it is a unique combination of matte & creamy finish. You can use it with or without outlining your lips, but I prefer using lip liner as it enhances & beautifies your lips.

 

As you can see in these pictures, this color is so natural & fresh looking that it doesn’t require a touch-up every few hours. It’s highly pigmented, so one swipe is all you need for a bare &  nude makeup look.

 Velvet Liquid Lipstick – Low Key

This Liquid lipstick is a beautiful muted pinky coral shade. It has a different texture when compared to candy-k lipstick, even though they look similar in pictures. I love this formula more than their other liquid lipsticks because it doesn’t dry out your lips & it has a creamy matte finish. So if you don’t like the feeling of dried lips but would love to wear matte lipsticks, I would highly recommend this velvet liquid lipstick. It comes in various shades to choose from, but my love for nudes & pinks is irresistible, so I ended up buying this fabulous nude shade. So overall, it is a soft & smooth velvet matte liquid lipstick that is long-wearing & creamy.

Fav lipbalm & lipgloss

We all can agree that one product that goes into everyone’s bag before stepping out regardless of age and gender must be a lip balm. Even though we drank gallons of water and stayed well hydrated, many of us have the problem of flaky lips & None of us likes the feeling of chapped & dried lips. So there are a variety of lip balms you can find helps to improve the softness of your lips. I tried so many wonderful drugstore lip balms as well as a few high-end brands. I love tinted lip balms from burst bees. It is so moisturizing, and it works well underneath any lipsticks. So I was looking for a lightweight lip balm that stays for a more extended period and doesn’t need a touch-up every few hrs. Here I will share my top favorite Tinted lip balms & lipglosses that I’m using right now and are great for my lips.

DIOR ADDICT LIP GLOW

The main factor that made me get this amazing lip balm is its packaging. It comes in an eye-catching pink tube with silver detailing on the top. Also, it’s a very lightweight sheer lip balm that does good for chapped lips. Finally, I got it in the shade pink, which is a very natural & clear lip color. It has a nice smooth texture, and it’s an excellent product for priming your lips. However, it’s not suitable for very harsh cold climates in which your lip tends to get drier. It would help if you reapplied it often.

Fresh sugar lip balm sunscreen SPF 15

This Lip balm contains all the essential things for your lips. It moisturizes & protects your lips from dryness, and this sun protection feature is a bonus. It also gives a subtle tint of color to your lips along with protecting your lips. It comes in a variety of shades & I got the shade coral. I skip wearing lipsticks if I’m wearing this tinted lip balm because it is highly pigmented and not sheer. In addition, it eliminates all the dryness from your lips and makes them look healthier & moisturized.

nars Afterglow Lip Balm

Nars Orgasm Lip balm is hydrating lip care product that leaves a nice tint of color on your lips. It’s a peachy pink shade similar to their orgasm blush & can be used alone or underneath any lipsticks. I got their mini lip/blush duo set & it’s the perfect size for my small travel makeup bag. This kit is all I needed for a quick make-over. I noticed that both blush & orgasm lip balms leave a shimmery effect on lips & cheeks, so it adds a nice glow to your face. So apparently, this lip balm’s staying power is not as satisfying as the hydrating power. We do need to reapply for it after a couple of hours. So overall, it’s a cute little lip balm that really nourishes your lips and works well for flaky, chapped lips.

Dior addict lip gloss

This Dior addict lip gloss is one of the best lip glosses I have ever used. Its smooth texture makes your lips hydrated & nourished. The main attraction about this lip product is that it doesn’t have any fruity smell like other lip glosses & also it’s shine-free which will give your lips a more natural look. Although I bought this in the nude shade, .like any other Dior lip product, it comes in a very stunning & luxurious packaging which I like the most.
